Its not sad to me my ill bred unhealthy working springers would have no chance showing but they do great in Flyball so i wouldn't find that sad, but Crufts was originally a dogs show, its sad for some that its moved so far away from what it originally was and nobody least of all the organisers will probably loose any sleep because a few show owners decide to spit their dummies

Is it four that haven't been awarded? Four out of how many?

The very worst that could happen is that number of entrants for the breeds drop. It's likely that over time they will rise again when the standard for health is being met by more and more breeders.

A good thing, surely.

It is five out of 13--but today is another day. Don't know how many are left out of the 13.

I really hope that Crufts, the KC and most of all dog health comes back stronger after all of this.

I do think it's quite a clever way for the KC to bring health to the fore and to send the message to breeders and breed clubs that whilst they may not be able/prepared to impose new health standards in respect of changing rules, they can and will put health first and foremost from now on.

I just hope it's not going to be a sensationalist, flash in the pan and that the pressure for healthy breeding springboards to a brighter future from here

Just curious about the boxer who won BOB, have he completed any health tests? I searched on KC's "Health Test Results Finder" but couldn't find anything.

Yes, I saw that collie limping on a corner. I`m surprised the judge didn`t spot it.
