We were lucky enough that some friends were moving to a small apartment so gave it to us for free, amazing, I would never spend the sort of money they would have paid for it!! I love it, and will keep it forever if I can!!!

BTW we are not Lord or Lady Crowther
Oh yes I forgot to mention that! Every soft draping branch was in fading to pale green colour - no one believed it wasn't real! Took HOURS to construct it and if you got a bit of the stem wrong you had to start again lol! But well worth the effort and at least 6 feet high.

Catrin, Hannuka is an eight day Festival and is not a holiday although schools are closed for the period - similar to the Christmas school holidays in the UK, but it is a normal working time.

The only public holidays are Holy Days and Yom Ha'Atzmaüt, Israel's Independence Day.

My christmas tree this year is my silver bell one hanging on the wall here next to me. But it's the first year I haven't had a tree even if a small artificial one. And I won't be here for Christmas anyway! (Actually since Lacey geed me up about it the eckindations are taking over the place lol!)

I like to see things 'christmassy' at Christmas - brightens up the middle of winter for me. Admit it doesn't hold any religious meaning for me. But I think any celebrations where it results in family and friends coming together and enjoying themselves are a good thing.

For a couple of years, when space was tight in our little cottage, Jen and I used one of these trees. We loved it. It's 'half a tree' in a basket pot (no backside) about 4ft tall and you hang it on the wall. Jen liked it so much she wouldn't take it down and on Valentine Day she hung hearts on it and then decorated it for Easter too with chicks and stuff lol! Gave it away when I moved here and often wished I'd brought it with me as I've never seen one here. Would look nice out on my verandah and couldn't get blown over.

The tree by the back door on the wall is 15 years old now.

Even the shed including tree No2

Overall (almost)

Fantastic Kazz!

Rotten luck jen and lacey after all your hard work in the cold to get them up

Maybe in future plastic cable ties would be stronger anchors?

Bluddy weather
