Went to get our new pup and kew we wanted to call her rosie, but ended up buying her brother too (they just looked right together) so just had to call him Jim, (Rosie and Jim rag dolls) and then Poppy came along ...Poppy just seemed to suit her.

names of dogs over the years

Betsie - she was called that when mum got her for me.
Snoop- Because mum loved snoop dogg at one stage in her life
Rocky - cuz of the film Rocky
Dexter- was called that when we took him on
Ronnie- Because of the character margi clarke played in Blonde Fist.
JD- junior Dexter (cuz he was so like his dad)
Spike- because he had this white line on his skull
madison- because at one point she was a LOON!
Rio- the person we sold him to liked Rio ferdinand(sp)
KC- because i liked that better than the name mum wanted to give her 'KT'
Jinja- due to his unusual colouring.

OK mine are Bailey because that was his name when I got him,
Then Willow because of the girl in Buffy but I like the tree name,
Then with trees and nature in mind, we have timber and Savannah, then Aspen.

I had an Akita named Koniski, which means dump truck. I now have Yuki, which means late winter snow, when I collected her in March it was snowing.

My GSD is called Buzz. He's a rescue dog and that was what the kennels named him and I kinda liked it although he does a brilliant version of a duvet these days!

My Cockerpoo is called Mutley (because he's a mutt) although he's normally referred to as the woolly dumpling!!
