I've usually given up on mine within the first week but at least i know i can continue at least one of my usual ones throughout the year:

** Get out for a bit of exercise more often - Monty has helped me with that one!!
** Drink less
** Spend less time in front of the TV and more time doing things i enjoy.

Thats about it i think, pretty good starting basis though!

Spend more time out and about with my son instead of sitting in front of the goggle box.
Finish my course
Stop feeling sorry for myself and get on with my life
Don't let anything get me down and stop caring about what others think of me being off work if I am down.

I've had a couple of very stressful years, last year especially. I've already started to reorganise my life by reducing my working hours which has helped a lot and I intend to continue reorganising during 2009. So my NYR are

To do what I want to do and not what other people think I should do.

To spend much more time doing things for myself, ie training my dogs and enjoying my hobbies - reading, walking spending time with friends and family.

To do activities I have always wanted to try but never had the confidence to do.

To lose some weight (again!) and generally improve my fitness.

To stop feeling guilty when I spend time or money on myself.

They sound like very selfish NYRs but I feel its necessary to put myself first for once.

Wishing everyone on the forum and all their doggies a very Happy and successful New Year.

Good luck in keeping your NYRs.

I'd like to get a bit healthier, and have fun at uni. Wouldn't mind a girlfriend either
