As Lorna has said above it's so important for children to get used to dogs at a young age. We had a dog as kids and I do believe that has been the reason why I like them so much now, and let's not forget all the lessons that a dog can teach, loyalty, love, pack (family) support, and acceptance of their place in the pack (To name just a few)

They look good together and glad to hear things are going well.

My 3 Irish are brilliant with kids considering we don't have any of our own. All the kids in the cul-de-sac want to play with our dogs - which is even more funny because they have dogs of their own (one nasty alsatian/german shepherd & one smaller dog next door).

When we walk them up town loads of people stop us and kids in buggies try to touch them too.
