this is not always the case in colour/white and tan cockers.

as with Diggory who is chocolate/white and Tan. he has no tan patch under his tail

but yes i agree in the above when there is just two colours involved black and tan or choco and tan

I'll have to remember that when breeding my tan pointed poodles lol!

As you say, there needs to be a black or liver under the tail for the tan patch to show up. I was thinking of solids as it's easy to see the tan, just me engaging fingers before brain again .

I forgot to say as well, if a cocker pup is 'and white' their noses tend to be pink compared to a blues nose that is black

I know that Aussies that are going to have red noses are born with a pink nose. And his freckle develope over time.

Boxers are like a mousy mouse colour there red or brindle colour is notvery visible or apparent at birth this one would be a few days old
