Eire has a pitbull ban also there is a muzzleing order on a lot of breeds mostly bull blooded but also dobermen and things like that ...they have also clamped down on all puppy farms and things concerning pits because puppy farmers and the like were ferrying their dogs across to Scotland and sending them all over the country and making big money

This sickens me that it still goes on - it would be my worst nightmare come true if this happened to Ozzy. I would be physically ill with grief.

I wish there was a way to immediately stop dog-fighting immediately all over the world, but as rightly said it has gone on for centuries and as long as humans maintain their blood-lust for these 'sports' unfortunately it will never be eradicated.

Not only is it dreadful for the dogs but I also feel for the poor owners whose much loved pet has been snatched and forced into this hell.

we have had a problem with lots of dogs being stolen in my town, mainly staffs, we have a large traveller community here to and no matter what those of you say , who think that they are a good people who get a bad press, the fact remains that they are into dog fighting and **** fighting in a big way,i had a jack russell and a lurcher stolen in broad daylight and i know who took them, but they had pulled off the camp that same day and my dogs were never seen again. regarding pbts, i have one and he has the nicest temperament and would never turn on any of my 5 other dogs . i can even throw a bag of pigs ears on the floor and thy wont fight over them, siddy is one of the sweetest and softest dogs you will ever meet, which goes to show that the majority of 'fighting dogs' only fight when taught and baited by ignorant and thoughtless morons. we really should get as many of these people together and throw em in a lion enclosure and put bets on who wins, sorry but these people make my blood boil cos they give a dog a bad name, and the press and everyone else jump on the bandwaggon and condemn all bullbreeds and rotties and the like.
