good warning jessica

heres another horror story,...

my horse was on box rest for months - i had the genius idea of taking him in the paddock to stretch his legs - walked in - he bucket - kicked the het clean off my head - then decided to rear up - i had the leadrope wrapped round my hand

i could even get the rope off my hand it was that tight - he kept pulling and pulling - believe me it was agony!

eventually after a lot of shouting he got down, i picked my hat up off the floor.

managed to get him out of the paddock - me hysterical as i thought i had broken my arm - put my hat on my head - and everyone ran out panicking

luckily i was just very shaken and had a badly bruised arm and sore hand

i could have easily been killed if i wasnt wearing my hat - he could have also ripped my hand off.

moral of this story - whether dealing with dogs or horses - never ever wrap the lead/leadrope round your hand - if in doubt let go - i didnt and i could have done some real damage
