Thanks H, it has turned into a bigger job than I anticipated but it is very strong and, to be honest, does look much better with the top and bottom rails on, should look good once it's been stained a dark oak colour. I'm the same as you, I love DIY programmes although this is the first time I've tried anything myself.
The bowls on stands are great, I did get them for their food, hence having so many sets, but they just took the food out and put on the floor which defeated the object. At least I don't trip over bowls on the floor these days

Thanks Kitty, trouble is, now the paddock is bugging me, the fence panels need replacing and the back end needs fencing totally, I've got heras panels up at the moment just to keep the doggies from escaping.
