I have been rather busy today, moving about, so when I stayed still for ten minutes Blackie ran to me and dived under the wheelchair, between the front and back wheels to make me stay still, he wouldn't move for about an hour, I was pleading with him, strictly talking to him but no, just would not move, at one stage he growned back at me to say 'shut up'

He is a marvelous friend to have.

Ian,
According to Dr. Coren (How Dogs Think) It is not just love that Blackie has for you, he sees you as his leader and would be willing (like all dogs) to sacrifice his life for his 'pack leader' which is something that not very many humans would do.
If you can get hold of a copy I would recommed it 'tho it is a bit heavy going in places. - It taught me a lot.
