Awe she looks lovely and as the others have said she can do just fine with one eye. Blind dogs can also do well, although personally we once had a blind pup, and on vets advice and thoroughly soul searching we had her pts. Not at all an easy decision to make but I believe in the particular circumstances at the time it was the right one for her. Ultimately you have to decide what YOU think is best for her. If that's her only problem I can say that I wouldn't have her pts sleep for having one eye as she will be fine. Good luck whatever you decide ..she's gorgeous.

We;re going to see an eye specialist on Tuesday just to check that her visions ok in her other eye but the vet thinks it is. shes very small compared to the others as welll but thats not suprising with her start in life. Were going to try find a good home for her and if not I guess I'll have seven dogs to contend with for a bit.
Thank you all for your advise

Have known several dogs with eyesight problems who have lived long & healthy lives. Hope you find the right home for her.

I think you're doing the right thing by giving her the chance to prove everyone wrong. She's got this far, she deserves a full and happy life

Too many people are quick to adopt the PTS attitude when pups aren't what they want. I think you deserve a medal for giving little Hope a chance If it wasn't for my miserable OH, there would of been a home here for her (along with loads of other dogs )

Sharon, I remember when your girl had that litter, and the hours you put in hand feeding him too I'm so glad to hear he's living a full and active life

This was our little chap with his brother, he stayed small right up till around 1 year old and now he's as big if not bigger than his siblings!

She is lovely and I think you have done the right thing in letting her live. I'm sure she will have a full and happy life even with one eye. If I was in a position where I could have another, i'd snap her up, she's really pretty and looks a wee gem.

Just a suggestion but if her eyesight in her other eye is OK how about dontaing her to Hearing Dogs? I'm not 100% certain they will take her but if they would it would give her and a deaf person a brand new lease of life!

I wondered about that becky but not sure they'd take a dog wiht a problem. I'll give them a ring any way when its nearer the time for her to go.
