Also, in such as your experience with grooming, how many dog such as pit bulls have you groomed compared to the small toy breeds? See what I mean it's impossible to get any quantitative data form such. But, it's interesting nevertheless
totally agree...
I haven't ever been bitten either...my OH has, by a BC BUT it was his own dog and the dog was in severe pain, since he has never owned anything but BC's it wouldn't be legitimate to put that in the poll. Sorry, I don't see that this poll can do any good... I didn't vote...sorry.

Hi Becky,
I have never been biten but both my boys have,
Luke was attacked severely by a Bullmastiff, spent 4 hours in A&E.
Tom was bit on the arm,by a German Shepherd and need hospital treament.
Both incidents were unprovoked.
We will never know what triggered the dogs to bite.

I have never been bitten(apart from when mine were pups)
But i have hear about friends and friends of friends being bitten and the main culprits seem to be small dogs of all kinds and collies on a few occasions.

Thanks,
Yes they are both fine, just a little wary of larger dogs.
It took alot of hard work with Luke and he had some terrible nights with flashbacks of the attack,he used to freeze on the spot when he saw a large dog out but with alot of time and patience we got there.
Tom's was only a minor bite compared to Luke, but it still needed stiches.
It was an awful experience and something i would never like any Parent to go through or person for that matter.

I was bitten very badly on my face when I was a baby and still crawling. My gran owned a post office and had Sally a German Shepherd who was a guard dog. I crawled into the kitchen without anyone noticing and poor Sally was asleep under the kitchen table. I must have startled her, I ended up with stitches in my face and she unfortunately got her jaw inside my mouth and ripped inside my cheek. I have to say - she was a lovely dog though - well with the family anyway.
