skunk for me untill its a elli in a hole that was a trick photo.

No actually I lifted it from a video and it is a genuine Elli and a genuine hole, honest.

Elkhound do dig in earnest, in their native country I suppose they dig into the snow at night to avoid being frozen whilst they sleep, and in the absence of snow they do it in the lawn, and they are very good at it. Mind you if you saw my lawn you would realise they get loads of practice.
