Depends how you read this one but I have voted number four. Personally with my dogs I have got pedigree ones but only because I went to someone highly recommended in the breed with a reputation of good temperaments and did all of the tests and more.
On the other hand I have no problem with a crossbreeds, had them in the family and I always think their special as their unique. What I have a problem with is this crossbreed fashion that has started and becoming big business. with little or no regard for the health issues of these dogs. The latest one i've heard of is Akitas and leos crossed

What we have to understanding just because its not KC reg then it does not mean the dogs dont have a pedigree, Maybe an option for KC reg would have been good! I voted its a dog i dont care

I will only take on dogs in need of new homes. Be they pedigree, crossbred or heinz57, don't matter to me.

This poll is really about your preference. I don't doubt that any of us would ignore a dog in need or any type. I refer to pedigree as that of a recognisable breed, I knew I should have put pure bred lol!

Absolutely agree. I do show my dogs, but I fell into it. It's another thing to do with my dogs. Originally though I got my dogs as pets, part of the family and I wanted to do agility, something healthy for me and the dogs. I did find it useful that I could see the pedigree, more than anything else because I had the hip score going back generations and health testing. For this alone I chose a pedigree with the backup of a highly respected person in the breed.

Well in that case it would be pedigree/pure-bred for me every time. Not that I have anything against cross-breeds but my preference is for a pedigree dog.

Exactly!!

My collie is ISDS registered, not KC registered. I have his ISDS papers and a 5 generation pedigree. I know how he is bred, by whom and what his parents, grandparents and ancestors were like, and also what health tests have been done.

Just because he isn't KC registered doesn't mean he isn't a pedigree - he very much is. However his pedigree is all working and trialling dogs, not show/obedience/agility lines.
