Hi Shaza Ozzie won't know what is being done, he will just go to sleep for a little while and be a bit sore for a few days when he wakes up ...

It is a good idea to give him a light meal after the op, something like chicken or fish and rice in case the anaesthetic makes his tummy a bit sensitive . Give him a nice clean towel to sleep on every day and perhaps a new toy, does he have a kong

Aww - thats a really nice way of putting it,

His evening meal is chicken and boiled brown rice with a little burns complete mixed in, so I suppose just the chicken/rice would be ok after his op. He has three destroyed kongs - will get him a new strong toy. Towels are his favourite for chewing, detroyed all his beds usually sleeps on rug at the bottom of my bed. Do I need something really clean.

I shall be on here after I drop him at vets if only trying to take my mind off the dreaded deed.
