I don't think I would ever trust any dog 100% not to bite, they are unable to vocalise their feelings and it would be so easy to get it wrong, especially if the dog is ill/hurt etc.

I've never seen Bodhi raise a lip, or snarl...

I don't think she would EVER bite.

But like everyone says, can't trust any dog, and would never put me or her in the position to find out.

I wouldn't trust any dog 100% As others have said- a dogs only defence is to snap/bite and if they aren't feeling great- and we dont always know if they arent feeling great-
I learned my lesson 2 weeks ago. It been very hot for a few days- my jack russell was resting beside me on the settee, normally I can touch her anywhere and she lets me- Ive trained her for that. Anyway I touched her back paw for some reason and she snapped at me- I was shocked as usually shes very sweet and has never done it before theres some sense to the old expression " let sleeping dogs lie"

I wouldn't trust my dog not to bite, he used to work for the police before we got him, the only people i trust him with is myself, my hubby and our kids.

I trust Vegas not to bite, but provocation can turn the most placid of animals into something else.At the end of the day-they are not little human beings and are meerly dogs so will always behave as one.

I agree with what has already been said.I would never trust any dog not to bite,I would never leave my kids alone with any dog. They are all capable of biting and all it takes is a split second.

a week ago i'd have said that i trust my dogs 100%.

but whilst at the vets the other day with jazzie they went to give her a jab and she went to bite the vet - she'd obviously had enough of being jabed and pulled around while feeling like poo.

i agree with the others - you can do all the training on the planet but you'll never un train a natural instinct.

i guess just like us, they can loose their heads sometimes and lash out!

I agree with what has already been posted, no dog is totally reliable, they could be scared or in pain or the people around them may be horrid...who knows.

I agree with everyone else .. no dog ever 100% fear, pain and cruelty can provoke out of character behaviour in all animals and humans

Same again here. Dogs will revert to instinct if frightened or threatened however well trained or well socialised.

Fight or flight will take over as it would with any animal.

Our dog has such a wonderful temperament that it is hard to envisage him ever biting anyone but, given the wrong set of circumstances, it is a possibility that shouldn't be forgotten.
