It could even be someone feeding them bread and milk - they can die from people being too kind too

Yes, my mom thought the 2 massive ones were mommy & daddy & that the 2 smaller ones were the children.
I just wish I knew, I'm scared that someone has put poison down & my cats will eat some.

I called the Hedgehog preservation soc today & they were very helpful & told me to contact DEFRA. I called DEFRA, they called me back & someone is coming on Monday from DEFRA to take a look around - if it is poison, they want to know what sort & if it's legal.

No, they just said it was strange for 4 to die. 1 or 2 could be explained but 4 is suspicious & they are concerned someone is putting poison down to poison animals, they asked me a million questions and said they'd like to come & see the hedgehogs - (which are already looking worse for wares) & they want to look around the garden, they also asked about the neighbours & if I knew of anyone wanting to poison anything, well I don't know any of them that well, we've only lived here a month & the other problem is our garden is big & a funny shape so there are about 12/14 gardens that back onto it, from three streets! So it could be absolutely anyone. My smudgley is my best friend (enjoy her company better than my husbands )
& if anthing happened to her - I'd find out who it was & I'd............................................... ...................... Grrrrr.
