I think we're quite lucky in the Wirral in that we have lots of countryside, woods, nature walks and quite a few beaches really close at hand.
I know not everyone has that

I live in the city so it’s not the prettiest place but there are a few woodland walks and there is a place called the glen, which is where we usually walk the dogs each day it is really nice its acres and acres of nicely kept enclosed fields (lots of hills and pathways right round) its used by LOADS of dog walkers however it is so large that you can spend hours there without meeting anybody and most importantly (for me with my two anyway) I can see everywhere and get plenty of warning if other dogs are around.

You can’t see it very well but its in the background of this picture.

I am lucky though to have two football pitches on either side of my house I need to take literally about 10 steps and I am onto one which has an enclosed tennis court at the back so if I am feeling unwell or lazy I will run them off for a half hour in there (oh and the pitch is actually one of the biggest in Scotland too!)

On the other hand I miss the countryside so much I was brought up between an Island of the west coast of Scotland (Isle of Islay) and a small town on the coast of Scotland (Lochgilphead) we are hoping to move back to Lochgilphead soon, when we do it will be great and we can expect to walk the dogs here every day:

In this picture you can actually see Ireland in the far distance, if you look at the land that comes right round at the back of the picture where it ends there is some more land but much further in the distance, well this is Ireland.

I will take better pictures the next time I am visiting mind as there is a lot more spectacular scenery than this.

We take the dogs to Blaise Castle Estate, which is only a 5 minute walk from our house
