Hi, sorry to hear about your dog. My miniature poodle had cushings it started with excessive drinking and didnt notice increased food as he was eating my other dogs food as well, he was moulting which poodles dont do but he never lost enough to notice. He was on Veteroyl tabs and he stopped excessive drinking and eating and he was about 10 when it was diagnosed. The tabs helped alot and he improved within weeks of taking them and was back to his old self.

Great to hear all the encouraging news as we have had results an hour ago to confirm that she is cushingoid. She starts tablets on Wednesday and will be retested soon after to monitor the dose.

It is fairly expensive but she is worth it, just want to see her old self coming back through.

The tumour is in her adrenal gland and could be operated on but it is not reccommended as the surgery is very invasive and risky at her age so we have decided to go down the tablet route.

I will keep this post updated as to her progress. Thanks again for the support it has been a hard few days but feel much more positive now we have a diagnoses and treatment plan.

You must feel so much better now that you have a diagnosis, and you probably cannot wait to start the tablets and then get the dosage sorted properly.

I look forward to reading positive updates
