Hi ladies... you guys are right. There is no dog that can ever replace my Brownie, and I don't think I'll ever be able to love a dog as much as I loved him.. but me and Jade are getting along about as great as anybody could ever expect. I thought I'd find myself shunning her out of comparison to my Brownie... but it's clear that she won't let me shun her LOL

I know what you mean about loving another dog. Our new pup Dougal is adorable & I didn't think I'd be able to love another one as much as my dear old Spike. But Dougal just grows on me each day & his personality is unique. Spike can never be replaced but we have so much doggy love to give & it's Douglas turn now. Looks like jade is very lucky to have such lovely mum

Your love for Brownie will never die, but I bet Jade has and will help you get over your loss. Guess what, I'll also bet that it won't be long before you post on here, that you love Jade as much. She is a beautiful dog, and you sound like a beautiful person.
