It may not be a noise in your house that is disturbing her - could it be a neighbour leaving early?

9 years old is not old enough to be losing bladder control, especially in a small breed like a patterdale. She could just be training you to let her out earlier!

I have known quite a few dogs younger than 9 years old to lose bladder control and I think its clear this dog has not lost bladder control otherwise it would be weeing in its bed or on the floor with no control but its not its asking to go out and going once out. I just think that perhaps it needs to go more often than it used to.

HI all thanks for all your advice, well i can live with 7am lmao. So it has to be the boiler. As we walked both dog's at 10:30pm last night she had a wee and a poo, then we all went to bed, boiler kicked in at 7am and she barked. So i got up and she was awake, and i let her out she had a wee. I no her blader cant have gone as she isnt weeing in the house or her bed. Ive started to put her dog t-shirts and jumpers back on her. As shes been shivering abit but she right as rain now lovely and warm. Both flat out in front of the fire. fingers crossed its all sorted

thank you all

this is brock

Aww pleased to hear it all seems fine now. Losing an hour in bed is something I'm sure many of us wouldn't relish!

I dont mind 7am but 6am isnt good, with us not getting on with next door, and them getting arrested for smashing a window and chucking a brick at the dogs. wouldnt think he was in his late 50's to early 60's.

Well done!

My dog reacts when he hears me spray deoderant - to him it signals something is about to happen, i.e his walk!

Lovely pictures!
