Oh poor Lily, she does not look impressed with that one Bev, let's hope it can stay off in a few days and I hope she'll be none the worse from it all. All the best with her. I wonder if you and me will be on our vet's Christmas card list????!!!

Poor Lily, I do hope that she heals quickly and is back to normal very very soon.

Thanks everyone. lily is feeling rather sorry for herself tonight. She doesn't like the bandage, keeps whimpering so i think she is feeling rather sore and worried.
H unfortunatly every year I seem to be on the vets christmas card list, I am longing for the year I don't make it.

Fingers crossed you don't make his list next year! I used to say that my last dog had her own GOLD Visa card! Wasn't far from the truth at times as I only ever used it for stuff I couldn't afford to pay for out of my pocket - and that usually involved her!

Took Lily back to the vets for a check yesterday and it all seemed to have dried up nicely. The vet was very dissapointed to see she was still limping badly though even without the bandage on.
She had x-rayed it after removing the glass and nothing else had shown in there, but she said glass especially small bits don't always show on an x-ray. So we are now praying its just bruising causing her to limp and not more glass in there.
Her bandage is now off as it was making her sore between her toes and she has to wear a baby sock (which she keeps removing) to stop it getting dirt in it and a boot when outside.
I have to take her back again on monday for another check so please keep everything crossed for her, that she stops limping by then and doesn't need more surgery.

sounding positive Let's hope it's just the bruising still making her tender.
