Farmers (what they do not want post knackering) abbattoir, commercial producer (we have a co op and buy in bulk), wholesalers (look in yellow pages for those who supply restaurants), pet shops, supermarkets, local shoot, local lamper and a restaurant.

My neighbour buys it for me from a supermarket [I would get from the fresh poulterers/butchers in town if I could get there ] but as it is for me as well as Pereg I do not object to having to pay more than it would cost if I were able to purchase pet quality food.

I use my butcher for chicken carcasses (and recently he's given me pigs heads and other bits and bobs), Lincs Pets as a supplier and then the odd bits and bobs from the supermarket.

i get my wings and ribs from the supplier, but depending on if i run out or not (i usually do) i just get the tesco value ones to tide them over. my dogs are too small for carcasses so that solves that problem

eggs and fish from the supermarket, as they have the tins of cooked fish. they wont eat it raw, i dont mind buying a tin of 48p sardines for them.

everything else is from the supplier, except for veg when they have it is just our leftovers

DAF, pet shop, chickens from shops and if fish is on offer then I buy that from shops too

The farmers dont seem to want to give, the abbattoir is a bit far (but will contact them in future..) wholesalers would really want a lot bought as I'm not in the catering business or retail...there once was loads of lampers round here but they all seem to have given up

I'm thinking I need to have another go at contacting the wholesalers though.

sorry to hijack a little but am I the only one who feels chicken wings are a bit small for a large dog?

No, I just have to feed a lot of them to my GSD, he has circa 10 at a meal.

I get my chicken wings from prize choice as they seem bigger then the supermarket ones rest of the food from natural instinct.
