Sleaford was a small market town in between Boston, Grantham and Lincoln. Over the past 20 years though, it has grown hugely . Unfortunately, the local council do not appreciate this fact

We have a lovely old market place and that is home to the marvellous St Denys Church . The market is a full one on a Monday, half market on Fridays and Saturdays. The first Monday of every month sees the farmers market where lots of local produce is sold (including fantastic ostrich burgers )

Sleaford was mentioned in the Doomsday book apparantly

So it is a quietish market town with lots of new houses, 2 Grammar schools (we still have the 11+ here), one for boys and one for girls, plus a great technology college.

Where I am in Falkirk is a great spot for scenery from my back window I have views of the Ochil Hills Stirling Castle and Wallace Monument - when I go out the back of my house into the field there is a large man made hill that gives spectacular views all round to Stirling, Fife etc - I am convinced it was a fort site at one point because of the views you have from it it would have been a great vantage point
emm my grandad was from falkirk sadly hes passed now but all his family came from falkirk and the ones who are left still live there

my nana was from hawick and thats where my mum was born and my dads side of the family all came from glasgow and most still live in and around glasgow

so ya see my whole family come from up the road as we say here in corby

corby northants,, home of the steel works but as diane says now closed,, we also have the rockingham speedway and some lovely countryside,, east carlton park which is great for walking the dogs and rockingham castle which is still open to the puplic and was built by the normans.
corby used to be part of sherwood forset and we still have quite a bit of woodland in and around corby
unfortuneately we have our bad areas but dont all towns????
