I sympathise, because our last dog was like that.........for most of her life!!

She was such a fun dog though, and in the end I just accepted the endless trips to the vet for wounds; torn cruciate ligament; wrenched joints and arthritis.......hehe

Sorry, and seriously, I suspect that there is little that you can do except keep a very sharp eye open and try to reinforce all helpful training aids such as instant recall, or drop on the spot. These certainly helped to avoid some disasters with me and my nightmare bitch.

I loved her so much though

Yes I have one of those. I have honestly never known him be scared of anything.

I agree with Bitkin keep eyes peeled at all times especially as a puppy. I made this mistake with my boy at the end of his first puppy class. I turned my back on him with him on lead whilst I opened his crate to lift him in. He leapt towards a passing dog, reached the end of his lead, fell off a step and broke his leg

It didn't affect him and he is still the most confident, fearless boy who is doing brilliantly at agility training. I wouldn't have him any other way

Mojo is the same, very confident and fearless

Just as well really as the other 4 are too

Nice pup in my eye, I love it much better than timid and shy.
Just have to keep your beady eyes on her

Awesome Give me a pup like this any day. You just need to get used to using those eyes in the back of your head

She said a lot of dogs are scared of him and it was good to see a pup be so friendly ..
