The waiting is the awful bit.

It is horrible if you find out something you are dreading but at least you can make decisions and work out how to treat if it is an option. I am sure it will be an option.

Thanks Lynn. I just want to see him happy on walks again. He jumps around like a puppy at home, we get halfway round the block and he starts lagging behind. He doesnt limp as such but he just isnt as alert and looks unhappy. The specialist said he is definately lame so at least we know we are not imagining it, hes been doing this off and on for a long time now.

Hi
Hope that all goes well and that the news is good.
Is the vet hospital called Northern Surgeries-in Clifton(Runcorn)
If so thats where 1 of our cats Rigsby, had a big operation after he was run over -
couldnt recommend it enough-the equipment they have is out of this world and the staff were lovely.Theres a notice board full of cards and photos from owners whose pets have been treated there.

We unfortunately didnt have pet insurance -BIG bill but hes fine now-When he came home 10 days later, having lost part of his jaw and a canine tooth and having had a "lampshade" on his head-his 2 cat "brothers " hissed and spat at him!!
He looked so pathetic as he hadnt been able to groom himself and his mouth was a bit lopsided with his tongue sticking out. They are all friends again now
Hope your wait is over soon
We are all here for you
sending loads of healing vibes to Philly and a big hug to you
Maureen

Hi Maureen,

Thanks for your lovely post. Glad to hear your little kitty has recovered well despite his ordeal (and his friends being mean about his lampshade ). They are called northwest surgeons, just out of runcorn, sounds like the same place. My OH said its like a hospital, amazing place. Its a bit of a journey for us from here but worth every mile if we can make him more comfortable. Just hope they can find out whats happening.

Clare x

Hi Clare
Yes its the same place. They do brilliant work
Its very hi-tech-better than most of the peoples hospitals Ive ever been in
Its only a short distance from where we live-but a bit of a journey for you
Hope you get some good news-and if anything needs to be done he is in very good hands there.
Maureen

(What was so annoying about Rigsbys accident was that he only ever went out in the a.m before being fed-he would jump over the fence into next door, walk round to our front window and stand on his hind legs, like the Bacardi Breezer cat advert -hes a tabby, just like that cat.

The day of the accident I saw him walking up the middle of the road and before I could do anything a car hit him.The vets kept him over the weekend and were going to operate on the Monday-but rang to say the surgery would be complicated and referred us to the vet.hospital where your little fellow is now
He never goes out at all now-the other 2 sometimes go out in the back garden with me and O.H watching
Rigsbys lying on the window ledge at the moment trying to top up his tan, before he has his tea-what a hard life!!!
