I am calling my new GSD pup Keira, just a name I've loved for years, I loved Emily shortened to Millie but then my friend had a baby girl and used these (very inconsiderate!!) so dont think I'd get away with calling my pup Millie now, if I had a dog I'd call him Deisel, same reason just love the name xx

Zeva, Pepper or Luca although my husband has a son called Luke so don't think he would approve of that one!

I keep saying I'm gonna call my next dog 'Oi' as when they first arrive that's all I ever seem to say to them as in . . .

Oi - stop that, put it down, don't chew that, furniture is not a food group . . . . . . .

I had a name I kept for 30 years until I had the right dog, I have no idea what the next one will be called, I will know when he or she becomes a tangible being and will probably be related to the breed, the KC name, etc etc.

I always have a list of potential names and once I have the pup I see which one suits it best and which one appeals to me most at the time

My current dog is Lottie a GWP already named as I got her 2nd hand.
Any further dogs I get will be one of these. GWP, wirehaired vizla, spinone and I have names already.

I tend to go for girls and the names I like are

Grace, Esme and Eva. Eva after Hitlers girlfriend and for a GWP as they are trouble.

If I ever did get a boy it would be Dave or Elvis.

The names are just because I like them.

My last dog I called Lucy simply because I love the name.

Jackson, Cash or Vegas for a dog.

Juno, Lexa, Jinx or Indie for a bitch.

Lucy and Lottie both also answer/answered to Fleabag. I just tend to call them all that as a knick name.

Oi is brilliant. "Put that down" would be a good one for me. LOL

My pals dog Jasper answers to Half wit and his bitch Peggy answers to Little Bu66er. He loves them both and it's a term of indearment.
