I think it's not a bad idea to give your epi-dog a second ID tag, alerting people to the problem. Snorri-dog has two tags, one the usual ID sort, and the second one says "I need epilepsy tablets twice a day" on one side, then it has the v et name, address and tel.no. on the other.

I figure that this may help him if he ever makes a successful run for it; if a finder sees this and contacts the vet, we have a second mechanism for getting him back. Also, it might make him less stealable: even in this day and age, people are frightened of epilepsy, and how much use has the average thief for a "sick" dog?

The principal reason, however, is so that if anyone finds him on his own, they will know he needs his vet (and the vet staff know him very well indeed!). It's a cheap safety option, and you could have anything you like engraved on the tag.
