Thanks Jessi, I think she will be okay, took her out with big brother Jamie tonight and she seemed okay enough

Oh I hope that this doesn't set her back. How awful having to keep her on lead when she is doing nothing wrong, but I can understand totally why you would want to do it, I would probably do the same TBH xx
Thing is, if I see dog's I don't know I always call her back and wait with her, giving her treats to see what the dogs are like... but the last two dogs have just 'appeared' chasing her and pinning her and she is a sensitive soul at the best of times I couldn't keep her onlead all the time but I will be vigilant and also finding other places to walk...

I think its because they are young and bouncy it seems to trigger something.

Skye was lucky we got Bruce....he soon became her big brother

Poor Codee

I think you're right Steph, as all the attacks, barring the first one, have been when she has been running after birds etc, leaping about, she is still so young, maybe her puppiness brings out the worst in certain dogs? I don't know, but I won't suffer numpty owners much longer if my little girl keeps getting hurt!
Maybe I need a Bruce, as my boys are big wuss's!!

oh, poor Codee

Jake is the same he is always getting it. dogs often go for him and twice he has been with his doggy friends, and the other dog chose him! I don’t know why they choose him. There is also another dog who isn’t aggressive, but is a big bully! He ignores the other dogs, but targets Jake and is all over him. Jake hates it, and tries to get away but Max just wont let him… and the owner stands doing nothing. I now have to avoid them like the plague… it is so difficult though. Jake is also so well behaved now, and has good manners… yet they still do it and most of the time it is when he is doing his own thing and minding his own business .

Poor Jake, its like that with Codee... she was out with Honey, yet its Codee they go for and always when she is running about, doing her own thing and they seem to come from nowhere or else I would recall her.... I just hope as she grows up and matures they leave her alone...

This is an agricultural show, as opposed to a formal dog show. This man even had the rules changed to separate pet collies from workers (his was a worker, and a scruffy one at that). After this, Kali had to be entered as "Any Other Breed", so I stopped entering him in that show. I can't abide cheating.

How about carrying a water squirter or spray and, screaming very loudly, squirt it at the perpetrator? Hopefully, it will do the trick, and won't scare the cr*p out of Coddee et al....

Good idea Vicki, I could certainly do the gobby bit!!
We are both off colour this morning though, she is very clingy... but she will continue to be socialised and be offlead, as she is not in the wrong!

Aw poor Codee. That's such a shame, I really hope you can get her through this with her confidence intact. Other owners really need to have some consideration.

Dougal always seems to rub collies up the wrong way for some reason. It's quite strange, other dogs he doesn't seem to have an issue with but most collies just don't like him, no idea why. We did meet a lab this morning who growled at him but the owner said it was more a warning cause he (the lab) had been attacked before. Once he realised Dougal was more interested in play he was fine.

Give her a hug from me and a Dougally slobbery kiss too.

Why am I surprised?!!

We were showing Parker at a terrier show and the Manchester terrier next to Parker kept growling at him (and the owner was feeding him treats for this behaviour!) and it still took 1st place because the judge said he liked Manchesters as they were his breed! Don't mind coming
2nd but do when my lovely Parker gets beaten by a grumpy dog!
