Hi

When my Golden Retriever had a bladder infection, the vet gave me a brilliant wee collector You turn the yellow bit over and its a dish, the tube slots over the end of the dish and you slide it under the dog while she's having a wee (hold the bottle bit) then when you've got some, tilt the yellow dish so the wee pours into the bottle, then pull it from the dish and put the provided lid on - hey presto! I got it first time, no wee on me!

Ask at the reception of your vets for one, they should give you it for free if you are having to pay for the urine tests etc, mine did.

Good luck!

xx

That looks brilliant but no, they didn't offer anything. I'm seriously going to take her there tomorrow if we can't get one and tell them to do it

When we needed urine samples we got one of the urine collectors given to us by our vets, but you can purchase them from Hyperdrug

My gran used to keep a seperate frying pan just for such occasions!! have also heard of baking trays too.

I once rigged up a shallow/flat washing powder scoop on the end of a stick, which worked remarkably well. The sterile sponge on a stick sounds pretty good too, you could swap it for a sterile bandage if you have a first aid kit, gripped between somelong bbq tongs!!!!!

LOL, best of luck.
