I can't find a photo where you can see it clearly, but Stumpy is only about 5 years old and she's going quite grey...check out the eyebrows - they used to be black!

I'm still undecided as to whether buy a long coat or a short coat. I have a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Golden Retriever so I automatically originally wanted a long coat, but I have seen lots of short coats while searching for a breeder and they are just as lovely, so I dont know yet, I'll probably edge more towards a long coat when the time comes as its just what Im used to!

And the colour - black and tan or black and gold definitely!!!
They are beautiful! x

The grey thing around the muzzle is normal for Belgian Shepherds - it's written into the breed standard as 'frosting'. It's not grey exactly, but the hairs start becoming translucent as early as 2 years old. You can sometimes judge a Belgian's age by the frosting.

My last GSD Vinnie was grey when I got him at 4 years old - I reckon it is a GSD thing!
