Quick update for you - the various meds didn't work, unfortunately, so the poor bloke has to go under the knife

He has a pre-op this Friday 7th and in for the op on Monday 10th. Although it's under a general anesthetic, he'll be out later on that day. He has to have at least a week off work, and the specialist would prefer two but one is all the finances will allow at the moment. Fortunately, he's a quick healer.

He's totally laid back about it and really not bothered in the slightest - I think secretly he's actually looking forward to getting it done, and I can understand that.

I'm off on the 10th, so you'll get plenty of updates
