Skip was not really blind, although her vision was not great- the thing that stopped mw walking her off lead (she was bout 15 or so) was her deafness......she would loose sight of me, but never seemed to look around to find me and would just leg it in the direction she was looking - even at her age I had no chance of catching her when she started a panicked run.
She only had a couple of weeks of missing big walks - although she used to get quite stressed when I left her with Mum.
