I think walks are quite important if you can manage them, not from an exercise point of view but for the dogs well being and mental stimulation. Amy goes one 'good walk' just about every day and that means off lead off the road pottering at her own pace through the fields, stopping when necessary to explore rabbit holes and other important things. Amy also has her own door to the garden and runs in and out as she pleases so all in all she gets quite a lot of exercise.

It varies really.
We go out between 3 and 5 times a week (sometimes every day, but other times, not for a few days). One of the main reasons is my health, and I can't always manage a walk every day.
If we go on a walk, it's usually to the park near me, or the park thats a 10 min drive away.
We have between 40 mins and 1 1/2 hours.
Not just walking though. Teagan is expected to practice her training! Heal, sit, down, fetch, leave, go etc.

When we don't go on a walk, we have games in the garden, then do things in the house, such as finding things, fetching certain things I ask for etc.

Teagan gets more tired out by the things we do in the house than a walk, but don't get me wrong, she loves her walks, but is as happy curling up on the sofa with me!

We go a "walk" about 4 times a week (depending on my health). Both dogs get exersise playing out the back garden, mental stimulation in and out the house, everyday. Loads of cuddles and grooming. Which they enjoy and ofcourse it means getting close (which they love) that's there "me time".
When we go a walk it's normally either by the hills, reservoirs or the beach and lasts for between 1-2 hours.

Mine usually get about 5 miles walk every other day, and on alternate days I run them with my bike, the pups get approx a mile each day, but all of them have access to garden in goodish weather, the garden is approz 120" long so they all do a bit of running/chasing/ (digging ) but got to admit, just recently this has been reduced slightly as I have had problems with my back, and it is now noticable on my dogs, my bitch has gained weight, my male does not look as toned, the pups(nearly 6 months old now) they look OK. but I must get out more often and not only do I feel it helps tighten and tone, but stimulates them, I know they fall into real good sleeps after a good walk, whereas on the days I have not walked them, they just laze about and then fidgety later in the day.

Chester hasn't been for a walk for the last couple of weeks, ony a few times and only for a couple of miles... he is sooo bloody strong.

Ian usually walks him 6 miles a night, but since his op he hasn't been able to take him out.

Mine get a 15 minute walk around the park first thing in the morning together.

Star gets an hour and a half walk in the afternoon, with loads of free running around and another 15 minute walk to the park at night.

Finn gets a few short walks on his own throughout the day for socialisation.

Then if its dry later at night they both go a quick walk around the block before bed if wet a quick pee stop outside.

About 3miles daily but not for a week as one has had an op and they refuse to go out without each other for long so they have only had 2x15 mins a day walk this week.

Many times we turn back tho on the 3miles a say as they are really lazy and when they start to lag i take them home.

My dogs get a good run every day of the week with me on my bike for about an hour or maybe less some days. They never have pavement walks, they like to run and explore off the lead. Sometimes they get a short 2nd walk with the ball on our village green if it's not hot, but the doors are always open front and back for them to go out in the garden and play.
