Every morning Monty gets up, stretches and yawns and whilst doing so makes a noise like a cat which i always find amusing!

He doesn't really do heavy yawns but he could win an award for massive huffs and sighs!

does anyone else have a little drama king or queen with this habit?
Dogs often do a pretend or exaggerated yawn when unsure of a situation, it is a recognised 'calming signal'

ahh, that would explain her doing it in the car and when she's cold then! thanks for that! the times she does it when she's having a cuddle with me must just be her 'princessy' ones then!

When my two stretch they do the over-exaggerated yawning thing.

Molly's sounds like extended seal noises and Roxy's is part seal noise and part howl!

Dougal does it too.

The other thing he does is if Brian winks at him, he will wink back. It's so funny
