We stayed in a cottage in Ambleston, Pembrokeshire:

http://www.qualitycottages.co.uk/ref1080.htm

and their own website that is under construction:

http://www.heartofpembrokeshirecotta....uk/index.html

The cottage itself was fantastic and had everything needed for a relaxing week including fresh egg deliveries and fresh milk from the dairy farm next door!! There is also dog bowl and towels ready for your arrival!

The outside patio area is not completely enclosed as there is a path that runs round to the front the cottage with a low wall leading onto a country lane so maybe not good for dogs who like to wander off! Monty was so mesmerized by the cows he didn't want to go anywhere!! Also there is no grass in the outdoor area but the owners have a large paddock that they are more than happy to let you use.

The surrounding area is really something else and there are some fantastic coastal walks within a short drive away. The beaches were fantastic and most allowed dogs on, there are also the Preseli Hills to walk over.

We had a truly fab week and would definitely return.

I`m going to White Topps in Dorset next week for a few days break - I expect everyone knows it? If not - it`s a small, eccentric hotel near Bournemouth for doggy people. No kids but you must have at least one dog to stay there.
Close to beach & Hengistbury Head. Dogs allowed everywhere. No mod cons but very relaxed.
google White Topps for details.

I posted this on another thread as i didnt realise this thread had been started.

My wife and i visited a lovely place www.dogworldholiday.com if you do a search for dogworldholiday in google its the first link that comes up.

It was fantastic if you want to holiday with your dogs. The cottage was lovely and the walks and beaches were beautiful. They allow up to 6 dogs with no extra charge. One other really nice touch is that they have their own agility course in a big secured garden which is a lot of fun

Went down to the English National Sheep Dog Trials this year and stayed at the Exmoor Forrest Inn, Simonsbath, Exmoor. Cannot rate it too highly. Large bar area where dogs are allowed and where owners can have dinner accompanied by their dogs. Guests at the Inn can also take their dogs down to breakfast as the owners will lay the tables in the bar area. Dogs received treats of biscuits in the evening and there always seemed to be a breakfast sausage available for dogs! Towels for wet feet in the hallway. The owners have dogs of their own and understand what is needed. Food excellent and a good selection of beer and wine etc. 10/10 and a Gold Star!

Does anybody know of/can recommend any doggy friendly cottages in the New Forest area - or anywhere within a 2/3hour journey radius of East Sussex?

We've been here a couple of times and have enjoyed it each time.

At Rhosgoch on Anglesey (near the top end of the island) the cottage is warm, comfortable and well equiped. We take our two terriers (although not so sure they come under the 'well behaved' catergory! )

The owners have several dogs themselves and you are welcome to use their small garden (not overly secure but it saves the hike in the middle of the night when one decides they need a wee!)

Welcome gifts usually include fresh, free range eggs, a gorgeous home baked cake! and doggy treats (phew, means more cake for me! .)
