Per Month
Food - about £20 per month (Fish 4 Dogs, raw and wet)
Insurance - Was £21 - gone up to £28 (no claims) and I'm fuming, will look at changing.
Chews - £5

Now that we don't go to classes the rest is probably limited to another £5-10 pm on miscellaneous.

So £50-£67 per month. Worth every penny

Well...mine would cost a lot, but my business pays for their food and treats! (food would be about £30 a month), same with most toys/beds!

Insurance £20 a month for them both.

Accessories, depends what I see and where really!
Petrol for driving to walks is also paid for by my business

Zeke's cancer has cost us about hmmmm 3 grand after his insurance ran out, but we had a disposable income then so it wasn't a problem and even if we were skint we would have paid it, he's worth it .

I feed them both for £60 a month and Zeke's tummy tablets cost £16 a month on top of that. Not too bad really for 2 big 'uns I don't think

Keisha's insurance is only just over a tenner a month, she isn't very insured either... and Zeke isn't insured.

Dear God...does that include buying a bigger car to get the neurotic GSD's travel crate in? Hard landscaping the entire garden to stop the terrier digging everything up?? Replacing the shiney wooden floors with slip-proof ceramics for all three of them???

Or just the usual stuff?

(And I have the cheek to think cat owners are mad.)

I am pretty sure I am going to regret this... but here we go ...

For a BC and a BCx...

Food - £8 per week, £32 per month (sometimes less if I get good deals )
Chews - £120 per year at the very most, so £2.30 per week and £9.20 per month.
Other treats - I get a 2kg bag of kibble for treats, and that lasts months... so will work out at about £1 or £2 a month
Insurance - £30 per month.

Then there are the accessories, beds etc but they aren't a regular or high cost. I also sometimes take Jake to agility, but because of the bad summer, we haven't been that often.

That seems like a lot... £73.20 a month... it doesn't feel like it at the time Although, this is the first month I have paid for Arrow's insurance, so I might start to notice it more now!

I wouldn't dare to work it out!

Food works out at around £60 a month (we get a lot of freebies). Tara's meds come to £25 a month. Training £60 -80 a month. I am going to stop there...

All the above plus industrial washer(s) for the dogs stuff, oh and moving house to get more land no wonder the relatives think we've flipped. I can't begin to imagine what's been spent but if anyone wants to add up just my vets and food bills I've got the receipts going back to 1985 - well, you can't take it with you.
