Hi Roofs,

Our BT pup is still on 3 or 4 meals a day. I usually offer him 4 but lately he often won't eat breakfast first thing and so then eats at 9.30am, 1pm and 7pm instead of the 7am, 12pm, 3.30pm and 7pm we began with.
I think that little puppies can get low blood sugar if they go too long between feeds and then when they Do eat, they can go rather manic for a while. (Of course our terriers can do the manic thing anyway ). If you are training with treats during the day, you may be feeding enough for 4 meals anyway

I usually put mine onto two meals at six months. Jack has recently gone onto two and he's six months on Thursday but it suited me to do it a bit earlier and I can't say he's noticed! I do walk him early afternoon and take some kibble for training so he doesn't have to wait too long for his second meal. Go with what suits you and your dog.

Rosie's a BT too and given half the chance she'd have 20 meals a day if I let her (and she's always in the mood for food)

Rufus is still very much a baby and has a small tum at the moment so keep him on his three meals for a while yet

Well I put her food down when we get back from our morning walk and again in the evening but, for a dog as tiny as mine is, I guess treats count as a meal too - so I wouldn't say she is only 'fed' twice a day.

dependes on the pup, energy levels and imo,if the dog is timid,or confident.iv found that the more energy exerted the more frequently they eat,no real rules ,just paying attention.some dogs of the same age,and weight, take in different amounts of food,so,i feed mine all differenty .one will eat once a day,she very big and lazzzzzy, both of my pits will eat 3/4 meals a day, they are on the run all day and do seek more energy at the bowl more often.its different on the weekends ,we tend to relax more and they eat less, because they dont have to.you will ge.t to know there trends.so for me its,..active pup gets the same requiered amount, more frequiently, than a less active pup.so having said all of this, talk to a pro and see what there doing.it works for me.
