Seen many greyhounds/lurcher types and staffies round by me.

I'd probably says Labs (and staffies now it seems) are most common in the UK.

In my training classes, the most popular over past couple of months:

Beagles (An astonishing amount)
Labradors & Labradoodles
Miniature Schnauzers & Schnoodles
German Shepherds & GSD crossbreeds (usually with Husky)
Springers & Cockers

Labs and spaniels in West Oxfordshire but also I would say a very good mix of interesting breeds too, such as -
Spinones
Staffies
Labradoodles
Mals
Dals
Akita
Elkhound

Rarely see setters and pointers though which is odd.

Pidge I'm really shocked that spinones are on your list, you're really lucky! and Akitas too, yey!

Around here...in my village urm, a mix really - a lot of Westies more than anything I'd say, and other small cross breeds. We also have a few:

labs
gsd's
spaniels
greyhounds

Not a single staffy would you believe, unless they never get walked...(you don't have to go far to the nearest large town/city to find a lot of staffies though).

Also.......WE HAVE ANOTHER AKITA JUST MOVED IN THE VILLAGE!!! He's called 'Bear'. Heehee I got so excited and he is stunning, so friendly too (does anybody else get excited when they see another of their fave breed move in)

Staffs around here probably, but there are a couple beautiful rotties. There is a collie next door to us and a lab across the street.
Everyone stares at Simba though, so probably not many merles around here!
