Human hair wasnt created in some of the colours people walk around with but they still do it.

I wouldn't do it to my dog, I like my dog to look like a dog. It's a bit freaky to dye a dog IMO but if some owners like it and it doesn't harm the dog then why not.

You have to remember we all think differently about what looks right about our dogs. When I took Parker to obedience classes the trainer said "What have you got that dog done in a stupid haircut for?" when he was trimmed in the standard Kerry trim!

I think she was rude to say it-she is entitled to her private opinion but his haircut doesn't effect his aptitude (or otherwise!) for obedience in my opinion.

I get people coming up to me all the time about Parker having a pink hairbobble (just a coloured, covered, thick elastic band) to keep his forehead hair out of his eyes and they are really upset that he is a male dog wearing a pink bobble

They don't seem to understand that-

HE REALLY DOESN'T MIND!

I can see the art in some of the cuts and the dogs seem to love the attention

I really cant see why people find it OK for certain dogs to live their lives with their overly long hair rolled up in papers so the ends arnt damaged
Having hair so long they are not able to see and comunicate properly

Why its OK for some daft clips because they are the way the breeds are clipped - but its not OK for others just cos someone likes it

To the DOG what is the difference?? They cant even see the colours

If the dog enjoys the attention and the cuts do not impact on his health or freedom of movement then I dont see an issue

Its not for me or my dogs - but I dont like (for me) breeds that need loads of grooming anyways

Little Molly would love the pampering as well, but could you imagine the piss that poodle will have taken out of her when she is down the park............

Oh, No, she doesn't go out for walks........ or does she?????

Mine love running through the dead leaves and muck.....

Can't see the pink poodle doing that, can you?

Let a dog be a dog.....

Maybe the owner just likes Candy Floss

Now Bailey would love it, not sure pink and powder blue are exactly the right colours for him but OMG he'd just sit and let you do anything as long as he's getting the attention he doesn't care what you do!!!

Personally wouldn't do it to him but only because he loves to jump in the local pond so the dye wouldn't last long but for a special occasion I reckon he'd look good with a lion cut
