Can't solve the problem but...

In your Start Menu -> Accessories -> System Tools you have Character Map

Run that, pick Arial as the font, and double click on the 'o' and click copy. You then do an 'o' by pressing ctrl+v

At least you can then do 'o's (or just select and copy an 'o' from this page )

How about giving the keyboard a blast of compressed air in them areosol cans you can buy at Staples etc???

Yes, I would also suggest a good 'blow job' under the O key with a can of compressed air
{You could also suck using a vacuum cleaner, but there's a risk it might suck up something it's not supposed to}
