Horse Whisperer was a great book, the movie........well........ditto the other comments made, how to ruin a brilliant book, also like The Loop and The Smoke Jumper.
Loved Shy Boy, such a lovely story (true or not).
Black Beauty of course
The Black Stallion
In the Presence of Horses
A lot of Dick Frances books

I prefer Patricia leitch's earlier books I've met her as she has Beardies or did a few years ago.

Like Caroline Akrill but would really like to find these 3 which were her first I think and set in a showing yard
I’d Rather Not Gallop
If I Could Ride
Caroline Canters Home

My favourite pony authors are the Pullein-Thompson sisters

Genuine Reason for Sale and To a good Home Only by Jennifer Melrose are good too and are adult books

Monica Edwards series about Tamzin and Rissa were my favourites---along with Pat Smythes 3 Jays.

Silver Snaffles is the best but REALLY expensive to get now.
