That is scary - hope it finds the 'easy' way out - think the vet tomorrow is a good idea - hope to read some good news one way or the other tomorrow.

Isn't silicone pretty tough?

I have my doubts about it reappearing naturally.....

Hope you get on ok at the vets

please update us!

you'd be better spending a fortune at the vet and regretting spending the money because its all OK than regretting not spending the money and having your dog PTS

good choice, well done!

you have a springer and they are...ahem...rather food orientated like most (gun)dogs...keep some soda crystals on hand for the next time it happens - then immediately feed ONE soda crystal after to induce vomiting

This piece of sillicone was very flexible, you could have folded it in half easily, perhaps it might toughen up once inside, still eating & toileting normal but still no sign of it, I'll take him for another walk this afternoon just before vet trip just in case!

Strewth what a night!

Sat in the waiting room for 90mins as there were two emergencys going on so only one vet dealing with everything else,

Anyway, vet checked murphy all over & couldn't feel any problems, he is booked in on monday morning to have an xray thats obviously if he hasn't passed it by then or has any issues before that, so thats given him 7 days to pass it though himself so fingers very tightly crossed, its been 72hrs so far & she did say its not uncommon for them to pass things after a few days because the size of it means its slower through the system,

She did say that it might not show up on the xray which could open up a can of worms in itself but we will cross that bridge when or if we come to it,

so a few vibes are still greatly needed!

Hi
No we gave up the insurance quite a while ago but made sure we had the same amount of money (they were covered for) in a savings account for them, our vets are very reasonable with charges so hopefully it shouldn't be a huge sum so we have it covered if need be!
