Aww good luck on your home check, I have never had one from a rescue, had one from a cat breeder, though!

I'm sure it will be fine! Can't wait to hear who this new one is!

I am just awful at keeping things to myself I so badly want to show everyone his picture... he's sooooo gorgeous! But I'm so worried that if I even think of him as "maybe ours" I'm going to be devastated if it doesn't work out and the rescue either rehomes him before our home check, or turns us down.
So I shall keep him to myself... but if I get the okay - there is going to be a very happy thread to introduce him!

Good luck with the home check. When i had one done when i rehomed Lenny years ago, they just asked to see the house and garden (we didn't have one), and asked where he would sleep and if there were any rooms that he would not be allowed to go in.

I think we were also asked about how long he would be left, where we would walk him and which training classes we would be taking him to. They also gave us the opportunity to ask any questions we might have.

I just got the phonecall and our visit is tomorrow night I'm stupidly over-excited now and keep having to remind myself that getting the visit doesn't necessarily mean we're getting the dog.
