Love seeing Merlin eat an egg. He is very very gentle with it, and knows he just has to slightly crack the shell with a tooth, then give it a licking, then a proper crunch and it will open up to be thoroughly licked out.

I have heard some dogs eat them by dropping them on the floor to crack them.

Reminds me of the Creme Egg slogan - "How do you eat yours?"
