Welling is another one. They are right on the border of London/Kent, in fact some may even be classed as London now. My mums family come from Deptford Creekside, some of them moved out just after the war to Essex which is where i am from originally and some fairly recently moved to Blackheath. Good luck

Have a look on www.rightmove.co.uk it will give you a better idea and you can see areas on the maps.

Thankyou both for the input. No point jumping out of the frying pan into the fire with regard to traffic.

Bromley/Sidcup and Bexley were the places Gorden was talking about then and very expensive. £199.995 for a 2 bed mid terrace, we don't mind down sizing to 2 beds but we do not want mid terrace.

I shall have a look later at Welling.
