Who needs poor older show anyway.
The quality of acting and writing is much better nowadays - we have Homeland, Lost (before it went pear shaped), Sherlock, Dr Who, Torchwood, Oz, The Shield, SouthLand, The Wire, Battlestar Galactica (a remake for you ), all the Stargates, True Blood, The Fades, The Walking Dead, etc, etc.
now I'm with you all the way on True Blood, The Fades and The Walking Dead
I still can't decide on Sherlock, I'm afraid Jeremy Brett was IT as far as Sherlock went for me, I'm also a bit of a Sherlock geek and their mucking about with the original stories irks me a bit, no one will watch it with me in the room any more, I can't help but nit pick

I loved Out of Town when I was wee, you can get it on dvd from Amazon, I've been quite tempted.

I want them to remake then finish off Tripods. OH just downloaded the original series for me. The SFX are so corny, I'd love to see what they could do these days with it.

Oh and that series that I can never remember the ruddy name of...I asked on here once, had a British actor in it, big fella with white hair and a lantern jaw. It was based on a King Arthur story but set in the future. The boy in it was being chased by lantern-jaw actor and several guys in black motorcycle helmets and leather suits. Think the actor was Edward something or other...

Grrrr *racks brains*

Found it!

Knights of God it was called, and it was John Woodvine! Really good but I think they only did one series.

Never heard of that one, I shall have meself a Google and try to find it.

The Flashing Blade and what was that black and white series about the guy on the island, Shipwrecked perhaps ?, anyway, I'd have them back just for the excellent theme tunes.

I'd vote for:

Vicar of Dibley
Fawlty Towers

And I agree with whoever said more Lead Balloon! It's great!
