He will be meeting the gang on Thursday and to go on a walk with Jack to see how he can keep up.

Then we will have a week trial if all of the dogs are happy to see if he can fit in.

I would still love to see what people have to say about this wonderful breed

Just to add, I wish I had your life. Hope all the dogs get on together.

I like them - don't know that many bit the. I tend to lean towards bull breeds anyway. Like Boxers they have a lot of character

I was wrong, he is actually nearly 6.

I will still meet him but I fear that my household might be too lively.

Such a shame. He might surprise you though

I love bulldogs they are one of my favourite breeds. Unfortunately I won't be having one for a while, as I'm not in the position for another dog yet, and if I wanted one from a puppy it would cost a fortune.

Hey, I met a pug a while back and all my thoughts about them being slow and not really interested in playing etc were taken straight from me when she started bounding through the bracken with Louie.

He might surprise you and your dogs may give him a bit of life

The few actual bulldogs I have met would surprise you on the "lively " front.

I think when it comes to any dog, they are all individuals. I can't give you any info on the bulldog as I have never owned this type of bulldog. However, there is a lovely one that I see at the weekends where I walk my boys and he seems okay energy wise and can keep with the younger GSD of the family without problems. The bulldog is 5 and can be very playful.

Good luck for Thursday and I hope it all works out for you. Keep us updated.

Thank you all.

I am hoping for the best but I am not holding my breath as she mentioned to me that he only get walked half of hour a day and hate the heat.

I am out all day every day in the summer.

However, I am more than willing to give him a chance. I hope he surprises me.

Sorry I haven't updated but sadly Alfie was really struggling after just 20 minutes of slow walk with Jack.

I will still be having him for a week trial in March but it doesn't look too hopeful.

He is a great character though! An awesome face and the noises he make!
