for showing jess, sometimes they get excess 'brush', this is trimmed to thin out the end of the tail (just like trimming beards on some dogs )

Murphy absolutley hated having his nails done to the point-where I didn't want to push the issue but knew I should but knew I wouldn't like the outcome ( if that makes sense )
sooooo
I adopted the 'horse ' approach -if you pick up a foot like a farrier would pick up a horses foot its harder for them to squiggle out and you're also behind the teeth end ( always a better place to be lol )
So I would pick up a foot and just touch a couple of nails -give him a treat -do this for about a week and then try the cutters -just cut a smidge off one nail and touch the others -loads of praise and treats -build it up slowly -but do it every day -I also try and make a habit of picking up their feet whilst walking -handy for getting thorns etc out
This worked for me and now I can do all four feet and his horns too :smt096

I also dont understand this. Please can someone sometime post a before-trimming-tail pic, and then an after-tail-trimmed pic.

Tam
Sorry, I know this is a mission, but I am really curious, as I have never seen much hair on a staffy.

Its only trimmed a teeny bit
