No you don't force them, you teach them! Perhaps my wordage isn't explaining right. Its like a trick, you touch the horse in a special place on their body & its the cue for them to lay down. Clinton anderson does it (for those who are familiar with him).

Umm why?! i have had horses and don't understand why you would want them to lie down. Its not even a safe position for them to be in!

In all the years I worked with horses I never had occasion to want them to lie down. Depends if you believe everything you read on t`internet, I suppose....

Man I have been on a lot of dog forums most are also pure positive & I have never seen one as hostile as this one towards people who might practice something slightly off the beaten path with their animals to improve their relationship (since the excersise is supposed to be BASED on trust!!). So not everyone does things the way ya'll do, so what? It doesn't make it wrong cruel or bad... just different.

Or perhaps its because I'm from the good ole' USA, perhaps?

but in your initail post about making horses lie down , you said it was forced & they fought?
